What to expect
Retreats at Trumbull Manor provide an opportunity to reflect on one’s everyday life in the light of basic Christian principles. An atmosphere of personal prayer and recollection is maintained during the retreat.
Each full day of the retreat includes Holy Mass and several conferences in the chapel, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and recitation of the Rosary. The priest conducting the retreat is available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and for spiritual guidance.
Note: if you have already paid a deposit (initial payment), you may use the website to pay the balance by navigating to the event and selecting remaining payment.

Why make a retreat?
Making an annual retreat—a few days spent in silence, prayer, and reflection—requires a sacrifice for most busy people. Who has the time? Yet every year, countless individuals prioritize retreats just like other important aspects of their lives. Why do they enjoy a well-made retreat and see it as a valuable investment to refresh their spirit? What do they gain from this experience year after year?
What will I gain?
A well-made retreat deepens one's friendship with Jesus Christ through prayer and the sacraments, offering clarity on life’s direction—past, present, and future. It provides insight into areas of growth in both family and professional life while fostering stronger self-awareness through spiritual direction. Participants often return to daily life with renewed confidence and joy in God’s presence.
From the founder of Opus Dei
“Days on retreat. Recollection in order to know God, to know yourself and thus to make progress. A necessary time for discovering where and how you should change your life. What should I do? What should I avoid?”
– Saint Josemaría Escrivá
